Routine testing of balances and scales performed by customers is very critical to ensure precise and accurate weighing results. According to METTLER TOLEDOs’s testing procedure, only two weights are required to test the entire weighing range of the balance.
W1: Large weight to test at or close to maximum capacity of balance
W2: Small weight to test at approx. 5% of maximum capacity of balance
W2: Small weight to test at approx. 5% of maximum capacity of balance
OIML class of weights (ASTM class in North America) is calculated to test process tolerances of up to 0.03%. CarePacs® always are delivered with a calibration certificate to ensure traceability of weights.
