CARGOSCAN - Facts About the Producer

Strong Background
Since 1985 CARGOSCAN has supplied superior dimensioning and data capture solutions to transport and logistics companies all over the world. CARGOSCAN officially became part of the METTLER TOLEDO group in 2000. The worldwide sales and service network, combined with over 20 years of experience and innovative technology has helped secure partnerships with leading global transport companies such as DHL, FedEx, TNT and UPS.
Why Dimensioning?
Having accurate volume data on items, parcels and pallets gives a true representation of the space they will require. This knowledge enables carriers and storage companies to maximise revenue, save costs and improve planning throughout the entire supply chain.

The values of dimensioning:

  • Implement price rates that reflect your costs
  • Verify dimensional data provided by customers
  • Improve space management of warehouse and vehicles
  • Verify content of supply
  • Optimize packing
  • Reduce lost goods and returns of packages
  • ... and much more

Product Range

Our dimensioning offering covers the full range of customer needs. We can precisely dimension a one-cubic inch (16.4 cm²) package to a pallet that is 8.5 feet (2.6 m) tall. The technology platform for the CARGOSCAN™ dimensioning systems is the Parallel Infrared Laser Rangefinder (PILAR™). All systems are legal for trade with approvals from weight and measurement authorities worldwide.
