MultiplexIR - Twice as Fast, Twice as Easy

MultiplexIR is a new dual probe accessory for ReactIR™ that doubles the number of experiments and is much easier to use.  WIth MultiplexIR, one chemist can run two different reactions at the same time, or two chemists can share a single ReactIR™.  Plus, the newly designed fiber connection is truly "plug and play" with no need for fiber alignment or optimization.  Learn more about MultiplexIR in our on-demand webinar.

METTLER TOLEDO ReactIR™ is pleased to announce two additions to its Silver Halide (AgX) FiberConduit™ based sampling technologies product line - the AgX MultiplexIR and the new DSub AgX fibers. The AgX MultiplexIR is used exclusively on the
new ReactIR™ 45m reaction analysis system. The MultiplexIR allows two independent reactions to be monitored at the same time. No longer do you have to wait for your current reaction to be completed before you can run the next. Run them both at the same time and double the number of experiments you can complete in the same time. It’s just like having two ReactIR™ systems in one small package. Couple this with the EasyMax™ Automated Lab Reactor to create a complete reaction engineering product that provides an unparalleled ability to derive a full understanding of critical reaction parameters and their impact on process performance.

The new DSub AgX fibers are the product of three years’ experience with AgX fiber technology. The DSub fiber assembly’s components are all independently serviceable, which means faster repair time and minimal repair cost. In addition, the new FiberConduit™ probes contain an internal RTD element in the tip of the probe that allows trending of reaction temperature with each spectrum that is collected. This allows scientists to compare temperature data to the concentrations of key reactive species enabling for better understanding of their chemistry. Another dramatic improvement is that the DSub AgX design eliminates the need for any alignment by the user. This is truly a “plug and play” sampling technology with no specialized skills required to set up and use. ReactIR™ ease-of-use has been vastly improved with these new technologies, and when coupled with the iC IR™ software, ReactIR™ is quickly becoming the “must-have” technology in every chemist’s fume hood.
