Video: What is Continuous Flow Chemistry?

This presentation focuses on how to monitor continuous flow chemistry reactions and processes. Three case studies are discussed:

  • Efficient methods to optimize flow chemistry reaction conditions (Doebner modification)
  • Monitoring hazardous substances (one step synthesis of substituted Indazoles)
  • Improving product quality (Grignard batch process)

Along with developing better continuous flow chemistry processes, an analysis of the main challenges typically encountered by chemists and engineers when developing a flow chemistry process is included in the webinar.

Presenter

Dominique Hebrault is a Ph.D. Organic Chemist dedicated to the use of state-of-the-art technologies for the development and safe scale-up of enhanced (bio)chemical processes. As a result, (bio)pharma, fine chemicals and chemical companies bring products to market faster, at lower costs and with higher quality. He is listed as an inventor on 5 patents, an author of 12 peer-reviewed articles and has been an invited speaker at eight international conferences. He is currently a Principal Technology and Applications Specialist at METTLER TOLEDO.
