This event focuses on the science and technology associated with synthesis and manufacture of Active Pharmceutical Ingredients (APIs).  Presentations will focus on effective strategies for Process Analytical Technology (PAT) implementation and how to overcome pitfalls.  In addition, speakers will also showcase how Process Analytical Technology (PAT) can be used as a tool for increasing process understanding, robustness, reproducibility and efficiency, both in development and commercial production.

METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to be presenting at the Process Analytical Technology (PAT) in Organic Process R&D event:

PAT and Process Control: Hybrid Real-Time Technologies for Enhanced Chemical Development
Technical breakthroughs in process operations and process modeling are necessary to meet today's challenges posed to the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.  Proper integration of process analytical technologies and automated reactors result in information-rich experiments that can reduce development time and facilitate energy and material efficiencies downstream.  Case studies will be presented showing how real time process monitoring and control is used in chemical reaction and crystallization design to  minimize waste, improve reaction output, increase energy efficiency, decrease the formation of by-products, as well as minimize the potential for accidents.

Presenter, Dominique Hebrault of METTLER TOLEDO, has a Ph.D. in Organic Synthesis and over 10 years of process development experience in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries using automated laboratory tools.

PAT in Organic Process R&D
Do you want to learn how to increase your productivity to make the most of your resources? In today's marketplace, there is an unprecendented level of pressure on companies' resources.  Increasingly, chemists are being challenged to produce results on ever-tightening budgets and deadlines.  New process analytical technologies (PAT) can play a pivotal role in achieving process understanding and enhanced manufacturing performance.
